The School of Basic and Applied Sciences at Lingaya’s Vidyapeeth stands as a hub of academic excellence, inspiring students to discover their potential and excel through innovative teaching and cutting-edge research. Backed by a distinguished faculty with Doctorate and Post-doctorate qualifications from premier institutions such as University of Delhi, Jamia Millia Islamia, Indian Institutes of Technology, National Institutes of Technology, and University of Aveiro, the School ensures a strong academic foundation combined with global exposure.
The curriculum is thoughtfully designed to align with industry standards and emerging scientific advancements, equipping students with analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and practical skills required to thrive in today’s highly competitive world. State-of-the-art laboratories in Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, and Computational Sciences, along with a dedicated Advanced Research Laboratory, provide an enriching environment where both undergraduate and postgraduate students actively engage in research from the very first year, presenting their work at conferences and workshops.
The vibrant Science Club further energizes campus life by organizing flagship events such as Science Carnival, Science Conclave, and Science Colloquium, nurturing creativity and scientific temperament through model exhibitions, paper presentations, and quizzes. Students regularly showcase their research at prestigious institutions including IIT Roorkee and IIT Delhi, earning recognition as emerging researchers, while also gaining valuable industry exposure through hands-on training and industrial visits across all three years in sectors such as textiles, paints, pharmaceuticals, and other leading industries, making them future-ready professionals in the field of science.”

Welcome to the webpage of our department. Here, you will find detailed information about us. You’ll notice that we are among the most active and lively educational institutions. In our department, research and teaching complement one another. For both our undergraduate and graduate programmes, we draw the top students from around the nation. Additionally, several of our academic members take part in national outreach initiatives. While many of our research groups are actively engaged in finding solutions to challenges that have immediate and direct impact to industry and society, curiosity-driven research continues to be our major strength. A team of incredibly productive, motivated, and supportive employees supports us in our endeavour on both the technical and administrative levels.
All work and no recreation is not a good notion, as is common knowledge. While we put in a lot of effort, we also take time to relax and have fun through cultural events, sports, etc. Both at work and elsewhere, we treat students like peers.
