Dr. Yashika Tomar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of English at Lingaya’s Vidyapeeth. With a rich academic background and a deep passion for literature and interdisciplinary studies, Dr. Tomar brings a unique perspective to the classroom, fostering critical thinking and intellectual curiosity in her students. Currently holding a PhD and an M.Phil. as a Gold Medallist from Chaudhary Charan Singh University, she is dedicated to continuous learning and expanding her expertise. Her diverse research interests include literary trauma studies, postmodern criticism, gender studies, environmental humanities, and socio-cultural issues as reflected in literature.

Dr. Tomar’s commitment to scholarly engagement is evident through her numerous contributions. She has published eight research papers in UGC Care-Listed journals and peer-reviewed journals. She has presented six research papers at national seminars on significant topics such as women’s wellness, domestic violence, climate change, and youth skill development. Beyond presentations, she actively participates in academic development workshops, including those focused on understanding academic integrity and avoiding plagiarism.

Demonstrating her leadership and organisational skills, Dr. Tomar proudly served as Conference Co-ordinator for the “One Day International Multidisciplinary Conference on Contemporary Global Trends and Transformations in Humanities, Social Sciences, Sciences and Education,” held on May 5, 2024.

Served as Conference Co-ordinator at the One Day International Multidisciplinary Conference on “Contemporary Global Trends and Transformations in Humanities, Social Sciences, Sciences and Education,” held on May 5, 2024, at I.N.M. P.G. College, Meerut, in collaboration with the International Council for Education, Research and Training (ICERT), India & USA. Recognised for active participation and valuable support in organising and executing the event.

WORKSHOPS ATTENDED :

  • Attended the National Workshop on “Understanding Academic Integrity and Practices to Avoid Plagiarism” organized by the Department of English on September 20th, 2019.
  • Attended a 7-day National Workshop on “Mahatma Gandhi and his Motivational movements in India” organized by the Gandhian Study Centre from September 26 to October 2, 2018, held at Ismail National Mahila (PG) College, Meerut, U.P.
  • Attended National workshop on “Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Ka Darshan Evam Samkaleen Vishwa” conducted from February 4th to 13th, 2018, held at Pandit Deen Dayal Shodhpeeth, established by the Uttar Pradesh Govt., Department of Political Science, C.C.S. University, Meerut.
