On behalf of all my colleagues, students and support staff, I extend a warm welcome to the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Established in 1998, our department has steadily grown in expertise and competence over the past 25 years, focusing on both the core Mechanical Engineering curriculum and cutting-edge research. We are proud to offer a robust B.Tech programs in Mechanical Engineering and Automobile Engineering, alongside M.Tech and Doctoral programs at the postgraduate level. Our department also hosts several sponsored candidates from industries and research laboratories who pursue their graduate studies with us. Beyond academics, the department places a strong emphasis on nurturing the holistic development of our students through a rich array of activities, including workshops, seminars, conferences, and industrial visits. These initiatives are meticulously designed to provide students with practical exposure, foster critical thinking and prepare them comprehensively for their future careers in mechanical engineering. As an autonomous institution, we continuously update our curriculum to reflect the current needs of industries. This proactive approach ensures that our students receive education that is aligned with the latest advancements and emerging technologies, preparing them effectively for successful careers in their chosen fields. We are equipped with state-of-the-art research facilities that significantly enhance our academic programs and research endeavors.
