The School of Basic and Applied Sciences is one of Lingaya’s Vidyapeeth’s most prestigious departments, constantly encouraging students to explore their own intrinsic qualities and enhance their talent through quality teaching and research. The School of Basic & Applied Sciences has eminently competent and efficient faculty members who hold Doctorate and Post-doctorate degrees from prestigious Indian and international institutions such as the University of Delhi, Jamia Milia Islamia, IITs, NITs, and the University of Aveiro, Portugal.

Lingaya’s Vidyapeeth is the only institution where students begin doing research projects in their first year of B.Sc. (Hons.) and present their findings at various conferences/workshops.
Our School has a Science hobby club for the students. Under Science Club, Science Carnival, Science Conclave and Science colloquium are regularly organized which develop the true aptitude of students in scientific innovations through exhibitions of working & Still models, Paper Presentations, Scientific Quizzes etc.
Our students have presented their research papers at prestigious universities such as IIT Roorkee, IIT Delhi, the University of Delhi, and others. They have received recognition as young researchers on various platforms. In addition to their regular classes, students at Lingaya’s Vidyapeeth receive industrial training in various industries such as textile industries, paint industries, pharmaceutical industries, and other reputed industries during their final year of B.Sc. (Hons.).

In our department, research and teaching complement one another. For both our undergraduate and graduate programmes, we draw the top students from around the nation. Additionally, several of our academic members take part in national outreach initiatives. While many of our research groups are actively engaged in finding solutions to challenges that have immediate and direct impact to industry and society, curiosity-driven research continues to be our major strength. A team of incredibly productive, motivated, and supportive employees supports us in our endeavour on both the technical and administrative levels.
All work and no recreation is not a good notion, as is common knowledge. While we put in a lot of effort, we also take time to relax and have fun through cultural events, sports, etc. Both at work and elsewhere, we treat students like peers.
