Block Printing Workshop

A Block Printing Workshop was successfully conducted by the School of Fashion Design in association with the School of Education & NSS unit on 18th February 2026 at Girls Degree College, Nachauli, Faridabad. The workshop aimed to promote traditional art forms and enhance students’ creativity and practical skills.
The program was organized as part of an outreach initiative, as students from Girls Degree College, Nachauli seek admission for upcoming session 2026-27 .To guide and support them in making informed academic choices, a Career Counselling Session was also arranged along with the Block Printing Workshop. The counselling session provided valuable information about various courses, career opportunities, and skill development programs offered by our institution.
Students enthusiastically participated in the workshop and showed great interest in learning the techniques of block printing. The resource person, Dr. Priyanka Sharma (Associate Professor), demonstrated the process of designing, carving, inking, and printing using wooden blocks on fabric.
During the session, students were given hands-on experience to create their own designs. They learned about color combinations, pattern alignment, and the importance of precision in traditional printing methods. The workshop not only developed their artistic skills but also helped them appreciate India’s rich cultural heritage.
The event was highly interactive and engaging. Teachers and officials from Girls Degree College, Nachauli appreciated the efforts taken to organize such a creative and skill-based activity for students.
Overall, the Block Printing Workshop and Career Counselling Session were a great success and proved to be an enriching and informative learning experience for all participants.
