The Department of Mechanical Engineering was established in the year 1998 and over the years has developed into a very vibrant teaching-learning unit. The Automobile wing was established in the year 2004. The department has got a team of highly qualified faculty members, many holding Ph.D’s from the elite institutes across the globe, to teach and train the best minds of this country. The pride of the department lies in the significant research activities, Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) with various Industries, Research Organizations and leading Universities. The department is enabled with cutting edge research in a wide spectrum of technological areas along with modern facilities. The School of Engineering and Technology actively assists local industries in product design, complex-part manufacturing etc.
Apart from school-specific Undergraduate, Post-graduate & Doctoral programs, the school offers various core and elective courses.

Established in 1998, our department has steadily grown in expertise and competence over the past 25 years, focusing on both the core Mechanical Engineering curriculum and cutting-edge research. We are proud to offer a robust B.Tech programs in Mechanical Engineering and Automobile Engineering, alongside M.Tech and Doctoral programs at the postgraduate level. Our department also hosts several sponsored candidates from industries and research laboratories who pursue their graduate studies with us. Beyond academics, the department places a strong emphasis on nurturing the holistic development of our students through a rich array of activities, including workshops, seminars, conferences, and industrial visits. These initiatives are meticulously designed to provide students with practical exposure, foster critical thinking and prepare them comprehensively for their future careers in mechanical engineering. As an autonomous institution, we continuously update our curriculum to reflect the current needs of industries.
