Dr. Anam Fatima Rizvi is an Assistant Professor (Genetics and Plant Breeding) at Lingaya’s Vidyapeeth, Faridabad. She holds a M. Sc and Ph.D. degree in Agriculture (Genetics and Plant Breeding) from SHUATS, Prayagraj and a B.Sc. in Agriculture from C.S.A. University of Agriculture & Technology, Kanpur.
With over 4 years of combined teaching and research experience, Dr. Rizvi has held academic positions as an Assistant Professor at Shri Ramswaroop Memorial University, Lucknow, Bhal-Chandra Group of Institutions, Lucknow and Mandsaur University, Madhya Pradesh, where she contributed to curriculum development of UG/PG courses, laboratory coordination/establishment, and student mentorship.
She has authored 10 research publications in reputed journals focusing on topics like multivariate analysis, genetic variability, seed yield, DUS characterization, and genotype performance under stress condition. Her research is centred on germplasm collection and evaluation, vegetable breeding, DUS characterization, and the handling of segregating populations. She has also participated in 4 major conferences/seminars, delivering both oral and poster presentations.
Dr. Rizvi has experience teaching a broad range of undergraduate and postgraduate subjects including Seed Technology, Crop Physiology, Plant Breeding, Genetics, Seed Production, Germplasm Conservation, Horticulture, and Statistical Methods. She has also served on committees for NAAC accreditation, report documentation, and asset management, and has taken active roles in examination invigilation and academic data management.
Her technical proficiency includes field experimentation, hybrid seed development (CMS and Non-CMS systems), phenotypic selection, and statistical analysis using tools like SPSS, NTSYS, BMS, and GenStat. She is proficient in Microsoft Office and has completed the CCC (Course on Computer Concepts). Her strong interpersonal and communication skills, combined with her scientific acumen and passion for sustainable agriculture, position her as a promising contributor to agricultural research and education in India.
