The India Skills Report highlights that adaptability and digital awareness now matter more than marks. While 74% of employers plan to hire freshers in early 2025, most of these roles require AI-linked skills—from robotic process automation to network security.
Of course, there are challenges. With AI automating many basic tasks, about 20–25% of freshers may face longer job hunts. By 2025, digital tools could shift 40–45 million workers into new roles requiring reskilling. Entry-level coding or data-entry roles are shrinking fast, while hybrid roles—like marketing with AI analytics—are rising.
But the upside is huge: freshers with AI skills earn 56% more than those without them. Tech roles grew 20% this year, with AI jobs alone shooting up 75%. Over 20,000 graduates joined AI and automation teams in 2025.
