Ms. Nicky Panchal

Department of Psychology

Ms. Nicky Panchal is a Teaching Assistant in the Department of Psychology at Lingaya’s Vidyapeeth. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology from Lingaya’s Vidyapeeth and is currently pursuing her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Chandigarh University. Her academic training is complemented by extensive hands-on experience across clinical, rehabilitation, and special education settings, reflecting a strong foundation in applied psychology and mental health care.

Ms. Panchal has completed multiple internships in reputed institutions including Anubhuti Special School and Therapy Clinic, Navodaya Educational Foundation, Ashray Deaf Resource Centre, and Fortis Healthcare, Faridabad. Her practical exposure includes behavioral observation, psychological assessment under supervision, participation in therapy sessions for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, developmental delays, and hearing impairments, as well as involvement in counseling, play therapy, and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). She has also gained insight into hospital-based clinical procedures, ethical practices, and multidisciplinary mental health care.

In addition to her academic and clinical engagement, Ms. Panchal has demonstrated strong leadership and social responsibility as Secretary Head of the Girl Up Club at Lingayas Vidyapeeth and as an active volunteer in community outreach initiatives, mental health awareness campaigns, and national-level events such as the Asia Pacific Special Olympics. Her interests include clinical psychology, child and adolescent mental health, rehabilitation psychology, and community-based mental health interventions. She brings a compassionate, student-centered, and evidence-informed approach to teaching and academic support.

Publications

Ms. Nicky Panchal has contributed to academic research in the field of psychology with a focus on psychosocial variables influencing behavior among young adults. Her research publication titled “Perceived Social Support, Impulsivity and Aggression among Young Adults” has been published in the International Journal of Social Sciences Review (IJSSR). The study examines the interrelationship between social support systems, impulsivity traits, and aggressive behavior, offering valuable insights into mental health dynamics within young adult populations.

Papers Presented

Ms. Panchal has actively presented her research work at national and international academic platforms. She presented a paper at the Central University of Karnataka, Karnataka, titled “Post–COVID-19: Enhancing Resilience and Well-being in the Health and Education Sector” (2022), under the School of Social and Behavioral Sciences, highlighting the psychological challenges and adaptive strategies in post-pandemic contexts.

She also presented her research titled “Interplay of Social Support and Impulsivity in Shaping Aggressive Behavior: A Study on Young Adults” at the International Conference “Symphony of Minds: Blending Ideas from Education, Humanities and Social Sciences”, emphasizing the role of psychosocial factors in understanding aggressive behavior among young adults.
