In our country we have to device the Higher Technical Education system in such a way that it enhances access to Higher Technical Education ensuring equity, improving accessibility and affordability to all, in the society.
Lingayas Vidyapeeth has the policies and programmes for strengthening Research, Innovation and Entrepreneurship and encourage the faculty members and young students to keep up the unceasingly intense desire to be inventive and to engage with industry and society. We are focussing on Government of India Flagship programmes such as, Prime Minister Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), Unnath Bharat Abhiyan (UBA), Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (SBA), Swachh Bharat Summer Internship (SBSI), National Innovation and Start-up Policy (NISP) activities and Make in India leading to Aatma Nirbhar Bharat – Swavalambi Bharat.
We in the field of academics are aware that Higher Education is in a state of flux due to the unprecedented challenges offered by the COVID-19 pandemic. We are also witnessing that the scenario in our industries is changing at a fast pace, our norms in teaching learning and life as a whole are continuously adapting to new normal.
We agree that purpose of the colleges is to preserve and disseminate knowledge to students, whereas the goal of the university is to discover new knowledge. We at Lingayas Vidyapeeth are based on creation and dissemination of new knowledge to the students and the society at large.
Ideally, Lingayas Vidyapeeth is completely based on a new and novel paradigm. It is new-knowledge generative and new-knowledge creative university – one that is an independent creative force and decisive power. Let me say here, research is about discovering something that already existed there, while the Lingayas Vidyapeeth as a new-knowledge generative university will create that new-knowledge which has not yet existed, about something new and innovative, making and creating new dimension of knowledge. So, in order to receive a degree from Lingayas Vidyapeeth students would be needed to “create something,” which will be understood in a broader perspective to mean any novel creation, be it a product, measuring and controlling device, their contribution to innovations, whether a new and patentable idea, a new product or a new business venture or even a business model.
Lingayas Vidyapeeth has the freedom to teach the latest research outcomes from the research papers of the appropriate area to the students, so that he/she contributes actively for the growth of the nation. By taking this productivity into account, it will make learning more meaningful, pragmatic, profound experience and also diverse. This process will provide greater public/industry access to the scientific/research achievements of the Lingayas Vidyapeeth, to promote the mutually beneficial application of scientific/technological research outcomes in public utility and industrial productivity.
Lingayas Vidyapeeth will strive for the creation of intellectual base for the sustainable development of the economy of the nation. Taking the reference of the developed countries close tie up with the Academia/University and industry will bring wealth for the nation. In this regard Lingayas Vidyapeeth will set new examples for the rest to emulate.
Development of interdisciplinary studies and research facilitating the identification and development of new field of knowledge is crucial for the growth of the University. Undergraduate, postgraduate and research programmes in the emerging areas of AI, ML, IoT, Cyber Security, Block Chain and Business Analytics will be given special attention by Lingayas Vidyapeeth to meet the changing needs of the society, industry and research establishments.
