Ethics and Malpractice Statement

The International Conference on Scientific Innovation in Pharmacy, Agriculture, Environment, and Sustainable Development is committed to upholding high standards of integrity, ethical behavior, and transparency in the dissemination of scientific knowledge. This Ethics and Malpractice Statement aims to ensure that all stakeholders, including authors, reviewers, editors, and participants, adhere to ethical principles that foster trust and credibility in academic research.

Responsibilities of Authors:
  • Originality and Plagiarism: Authors must ensure that their work is original, and any work or words of others must be appropriately cited or quoted. Plagiarism in any form, including self-plagiarism, is unethical and unacceptable.
  • Data Accuracy: Authors are responsible for providing accurate data, ensuring that the results reported are an honest reflection of their research. Fabrication or falsification of data is a breach of ethics.
  • Authorship: All contributors who have made a significant contribution to the research should be listed as co-authors. The corresponding author should ensure that all co-authors have approved the final version of the paper before submission.
  • Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest: Authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that could be viewed as influencing their work.
  • Ethical Approval for Research: For research involving human participants, animals, or sensitive environments, authors must ensure they have obtained proper ethical approval from relevant institutions or committees.
Responsibilities of Reviewers:
  • Confidentiality: Reviewers must maintain confidentiality about the manuscripts they review and not use any information obtained during the peer-review process for personal advantage.
  • Objectivity: Reviews should be conducted objectively, with constructive feedback provided to improve the quality of the manuscript. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate.
  • Conflicts of Interest: If a reviewer feels unqualified to assess the manuscript or suspects a conflict of interest, they must notify the editor and excuse themselves from the review process.
  • Timeliness: Reviewers are expected to complete their reviews within the agreed-upon timeframe.
Responsibilities of Editors:
  • Fair Play: Editors must evaluate manuscripts based on their intellectual content, without regard to race, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, or institutional affiliations of the authors.
  • Confidentiality: Editors and their editorial staff must not disclose any information about submitted manuscripts to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, or potential reviewers.
  • Decision-Making: Editors are responsible for making the final decision regarding manuscript acceptance based on its significance, originality, and clarity, as well as its relevance to the scope of the conference.
  • Conflict of Interest: Editors should recuse themselves from handling manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest.
Responsibilities of Conference Participants:
  • Respect and Professionalism: Participants are expected to engage respectfully and professionally in all conference activities. Harassment, discrimination, or any form of unprofessional conduct will not be tolerated.
  • Intellectual Property: Participants must respect intellectual property rights by acknowledging the contributions of others in discussions and presentations.
  • Environment and Sustainability: In line with the conference’s theme, participants are encouraged to minimize their environmental impact by following sustainable practices during the event.
Procedures for Addressing Ethical Misconduct
  • Any allegations of unethical behavior or malpractice will be thoroughly investigated. If misconduct is found, the conference organizers reserve the right to take appropriate action, which may include retraction of papers, reporting to institutions, or banning individuals from future conferences.

By adhering to this Ethics and Malpractice Statement, all stakeholders in the conference contribute to maintaining the integrity of the scientific community and promoting a culture of ethical research and innovation.
